Former Counselor to the U.S. Secretary of Education, Mr. Tomalis is an Education Consultant with an extensive background in education programs and services at the elementary, secondary, and post-secondary levels.

Counselor to U.S. Secretary of Education in the U.S. Department of Education (2004). From June 2001 to August 2004, Mr. Tomalis held various senior positions in the United States Department of Education including, Acting Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education, managing the implementation of the Bush Administration’s No Child Left Behind Law. Former Chief of Staff to the Under Secretary of Education, he joined the Bush Administration in May of 2001.
For six years prior to joining the United States Department of Education, Mr. Tomalis was the Executive Deputy Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
For 10 years prior to joining the Pennsylvania Department of Education, he served at the U.S. Department of Justice in a variety of positions resulting in assignments in the U.S. and overseas.
Mr. Tomalis holds a B.S. Degree in Political Science from Dickinson College (Carlisle, Pennsylvania).
