Mr. Slattery is the Chief Technology Officer at Calvert Education, overseeing technology services and platform development.

Matt has over 20 years of experience in the education technology sector, having led both digital platform and content product development since the early 1990’s. Prior to joining Calvert, Matt served as Vice President of Product Development at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where he led multiple Learning Management Systems and content initiatives, creating and supporting feature-rich and technically robust platforms for the Skills Tutor product line.

As one of the original employees at Achievement Technologies, a spin-off from The Learning Company, Matt lead the team responsible for creating one of the earliest internet-based platforms serving digital content. Prior to that, he worked on the award-winning SkillsBank and CornerStone products, directing the technology effort to create multiple LAN-based learning management systems and basic skills learning modules.

Matt graduated from the University of Maryland and lives in southern Pennsylvania with his wife and children.
